It serves as a visual reward system suitable for children with special needs and those of varying ages and abilities. The app operates on the principles of Token Economy, a behavior modification reinforcement system. Here, symbols or "tokens" are granted to a child upon accomplishing a desired behavior. After accumulating all predetermined tokens, the child may claim a reward of their choice.

Token Economy aligns with the fundamentals of operant conditioning and is commonly employed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) for children on the autism spectrum.

The Tokenat app offers children clear visual cues on when they can anticipate receiving their rewards. Its offerings include:

• A reward image gallery and the capacity to customize reward images
• Visualization of progress towards earning rewards through token images
• The ability to remove tokens from the image track
• An optional sound effect for each token earned
